TEDDO is operated by Fortified Concepts (“TEDDO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

TEDDO provides tools that help individuals, parents, guardians, and caregivers record, organize, review, and better understand health and care information for themselves, other people in their care, and pets.

We understand that health and caregiving information can be highly personal. This Privacy Policy explains what information TEDDO collects, how that information is used, when it may be shared, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you.

By using TEDDO, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

To create a TEDDO account, we collect:

• Email address

• Password

A name and phone number are not required to create an account.

You may optionally provide a profile photo and other information as described below.

Profile Information

TEDDO allows adult account holders to create profiles for:

• Themselves

• Children

• Other adults in their care

• Pets

Depending on what you choose to enter, profile information may include:

• Name or nickname

• Date of birth or age

• Sex or gender

• Relationship to the account holder

• Pet breed or species

• Profile photo

TEDDO does not currently allow one account holder to directly share management of a profile with another TEDDO user.

Health and Care Information

TEDDO allows you to voluntarily enter and store health and care-related information, including:

• Medications

• Medication dosages and schedules

• Symptoms

• Vital signs

• Food and meals

• Fluid intake

• Bowel movements

• Urination

• Vomiting

• Sleep

• Activity

• Procedures

• Doctor visits

• Appointments

• Notes

• Reminders

• Medical history

• Files and documents

• Lab reports

• Prescriptions

• Photos, including photos of symptoms or other care-related information

• Other health or care information you choose to enter

This information may relate to you, another person whose profile you manage, or a pet.

2. Photos, Files, Camera, and Microphone

TEDDO may allow you to upload profile photos, medical documents, lab reports, prescriptions, symptom photos, and other files.

TEDDO accesses your photo library only when you choose to select and attach a photo.

TEDDO does not currently access your device camera or microphone.

Photos are shared with TEDDO's artificial intelligence provider only when you intentionally attach a photo to an AI chat message.

3. Artificial Intelligence Features

TEDDO uses artificial intelligence provided by Anthropic, through Claude, to support certain features.

AI-powered features may be used to:

• Log information using natural language

• Answer questions about information stored in TEDDO

• Summarize health and care history

• Identify patterns or trends in information you have entered

• Assist with searching and understanding information in your TEDDO account

• Provide AI-assisted web search when appropriate

For example, you may enter:

“Took 4 mg of Zofran”

or ask:

“How much water did I drink this week?”

Information Sent to the AI Provider

When you actively use an AI-powered feature, TEDDO may send information necessary to respond to your request. Depending on the request, this may include:

• The text of your current prompt

• Health history

• Medication information

• Recent entries

• Information from your timeline

• Photos you intentionally attach to the AI conversation

TEDDO does not send your profile name to Anthropic as part of this process unless it is contained in information you intentionally provide.

Information is sent to Anthropic only when you actively use an AI-powered feature.

Anthropic may retain API requests for up to 30 days for safety, security, and service-operation purposes.

Based on the service configuration used by TEDDO, API/customer data sent to Anthropic is not used to train Anthropic's general-purpose models.

TEDDO does not permit AI providers to use your personal health information for advertising.

Important AI Limitations

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misunderstood.

TEDDO's AI features are intended to help you organize, retrieve, summarize, and understand information you have entered. They are not intended to replace professional medical judgment.

TEDDO does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment, recommend medication changes, or provide emergency medical services.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

4. How We Use Information

We use information collected through TEDDO to:

• Create and maintain your account

• Store and organize information you enter

• Display health and care histories and timelines

• Generate charts, summaries, and trends

• Allow you to search and review stored information

• Process natural-language health and care entries

• Answer questions through TEDDO's AI features

• Provide medication reminders

• Generate reports and exports you request

• Sync information across supported devices

• Authenticate users and protect accounts

• Maintain the security and reliability of TEDDO

• Diagnose technical problems

• Respond to support requests

• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use personal health information for targeted advertising.

5. Reminders and Notifications

TEDDO allows users to create medication reminders.

Medication reminders are scheduled and displayed locally by your own device.

TEDDO does not currently send medication reminders from our servers, does not collect push-notification tokens for this purpose, and does not use a third-party push-notification service.

Notification permissions are optional.

Medication reminder notifications may include the medication name. Depending on your device settings, reminder text may appear on your lock screen.

You are responsible for configuring your device's notification and lock-screen settings according to your privacy preferences.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information or personal health information.

We share information only as necessary to operate TEDDO, provide features you request, comply with legal requirements, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

Service Providers

TEDDO currently uses the following service providers:

Supabase
Used for database storage, authentication, file storage, operational logging, and certain server or edge functions.

PowerSync
Used to synchronize data between TEDDO and supported devices.

Anthropic / Claude
Used to provide artificial intelligence features and AI-assisted web search when you actively use those features.

Resend
Used to send account-related and service-related emails.

Expo
Used for application and website hosting and related infrastructure.

Apple
Purchases made within the iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store.

These service providers may process information only to the extent necessary to provide services to TEDDO.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, product analytics platforms, or crash-reporting services at this time.

Payments

When you make a purchase through the iOS app, payment processing is handled by Apple.

TEDDO does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

We receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as confirmation of whether your subscription or purchase is active.

User-Initiated Sharing

TEDDO allows users to export health and care information as a PDF and share that information with a doctor, caregiver, family member, or another person of their choosing.

Sharing is initiated by the user.

TEDDO does not automatically send health information to healthcare providers or caregivers.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request

• Protect the rights, safety, or property of TEDDO, our users, or others

• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms

• Protect the integrity and security of TEDDO

7. Data Storage and Security

TEDDO uses Supabase for its primary backend infrastructure.

TEDDO's hosted backend is currently located in Virginia, United States.

Information stored through our backend is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Information stored locally on your device relies on the security and encryption protections provided by your device and operating system.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards include measures such as:

• Encrypted transmission

• Encryption of backend data at rest

• Authentication controls

• Access restrictions

• Secure hosting infrastructure

• Operational logging

• Account-session monitoring

No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Technical and Operational Information

TEDDO does not currently use third-party product analytics, advertising analytics, or cross-app tracking services.

We do not intentionally collect device advertising identifiers or create device or browser fingerprints.

Our authentication and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information in the normal course of operating and securing the service.

This may include:

• IP address

• Browser or device information

• Authentication activity

• Active login-session information

• API requests

• Database events

• Server or function logs

• Error information

• Service performance information

This information is used primarily for account security, service operation, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Supabase currently retains certain API, database, and function logs for approximately 7 days.

9. Website Cookies

The TEDDO website may use cookies or similar technologies.

These technologies may be used to support website functionality, remember preferences, maintain sessions, and understand or operate the website.

TEDDO does not use personal health information for advertising.

Additional information regarding website cookies may be provided through a cookie notice or updated version of this Privacy Policy as TEDDO's website functionality develops.

10. Apple Health, HealthKit, Wearables, and Third-Party Health Accounts

TEDDO does not currently connect to:

• Apple Health or HealthKit

• Google Health Connect

• Wearable devices

• Third-party health accounts

The health and care information stored in TEDDO is information entered or uploaded by you.

TEDDO does not automatically import health data from Apple Health, wearable devices, or third-party health services.

11. Children and Child Profiles

TEDDO is intended for adults 18 years of age and older, including parents, legal guardians, and caregivers.

TEDDO is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create TEDDO accounts.

An adult TEDDO account holder may create and manage a profile containing health and care information about a child.

Information about a child is entered and managed by the adult account holder.

If we learn that a child under 13 has created a TEDDO account without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete that account and associated personal information.

TEDDO is not intended for inclusion in Apple's Kids Category.

12. Pet Information

TEDDO allows users to create profiles and record health and care information for pets.

Pet profiles use the same general tracking categories available for other profiles.

TEDDO does not currently provide specialized veterinary diagnosis or veterinary treatment recommendations.

13. Location and Contacts

TEDDO does not currently request or collect your precise location.

TEDDO does not access your device contacts or address book and does not import doctors, caregivers, or other individuals from your contacts.

14. Data Retention

TEDDO does not automatically expire account or health data while your account remains active.

Information is generally retained until you delete the information or delete your account.

Individual Entries

When you delete an individual log or entry:

• The entry is permanently removed from the active service

• There is no trash or undo function

• Associated uploaded photos are deleted from active storage

• The deletion is synchronized to your other supported devices

Deleted information may remain temporarily in system backups for approximately 7 additional days before those backups expire or are overwritten.

Account Deletion

When you request deletion of your TEDDO account, TEDDO currently provides a 30-day grace period.

During this period, you may cancel the deletion request.

After the grace period expires, an automated process permanently removes:

• Your TEDDO account

• Profiles associated with your account

• Health and care entries

• Uploaded photos

• Other account-associated data stored in TEDDO's active systems

Some deleted information may remain in backups for approximately 7 additional days before backup copies expire.

Certain limited records may be retained longer where required by law, necessary for fraud or security prevention, or required to resolve legal disputes.

15. Account and Data Controls

TEDDO gives users control over information stored in their account.

Depending on the feature, you may:

• Review stored information

• Edit health and care entries

• Delete individual logs

• Delete child, adult, or pet profiles

• Delete your TEDDO account

• Export your information

• Create PDF reports

• Share reports with people you choose

• Disable notification permissions

• Withdraw optional device permissions

TEDDO provides an in-app account-deletion option.

You may also contact us at support@teddo.app to request assistance with privacy or deletion requests.

16. Data Export

TEDDO allows users to export certain health and care information as a PDF.

Users may choose to share exported information directly with doctors, caregivers, family members, or other individuals.

TEDDO does not currently provide CSV exports.

All such sharing is initiated by the user.

Once information is exported or shared outside TEDDO, the recipient's handling of that information is outside TEDDO's control.

17. Medical and Health Disclaimer

TEDDO is an organizational and informational tool.

TEDDO is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or medical advice.

TEDDO does not:

• Diagnose medical conditions

• Prescribe treatment

• Recommend changing a medication or dosage

• Replace the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional

• Provide emergency medical services

AI-generated summaries, patterns, trends, and responses are intended for informational and organizational purposes only.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical questions, diagnoses, treatments, medications, or changes in health.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

18. United States Availability

TEDDO is currently intended for users located in the United States.

TEDDO is not currently offered specifically to users in the European Union or United Kingdom.

If TEDDO expands to additional jurisdictions, this Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect additional privacy rights and legal requirements.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as TEDDO changes, new features are introduced, service providers change, or legal requirements evolve.

When we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, by email, or by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Where required by law, we will request additional consent before applying materially different practices to previously collected information.
